Terms of Service
Last updated August 5, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Unbound. They cover what you can count on from us, and the few things we ask of you in return. We have kept them short and readable on purpose.
This is written in plain language to be genuinely useful, not to hide behind legalese. It reflects how Unbound actually works today. It is not legal advice, and it will be reviewed by counsel before Unbound charges for a paid plan.
The service
Unbound, operated by Unbound Works, LLC, lets you upload photographs and share them as galleries — private, unlisted, or public. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
Who can use Unbound
You must be at least 13 years oldto create an Unbound account. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live (16 in parts of the EU/UK), you need a parent or guardian’s permission to use the service. Unbound is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly let anyone under 13 sign up. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email privacy@unboundalbums.com and we will remove it.
Your photos are yours
You keep all rights to the photographs you upload. We claim no ownership of them. You grant Unbound only the narrow, practical permission needed to run the service — to store your files, generate thumbnails and web-sized versions, and display your galleries to the people you choose. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your photographs to train AI models or for any purpose beyond providing the service to you.
What we ask of you
You agree that:
- You have the right to upload and share the photographs you put on Unbound.
- You will not use Unbound to store or share unlawful content, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the activity that happens under it.
If content on the service violates these terms or the law, we may remove it. We would rather talk to you first, and in almost every case we will.
Prohibited content and illegal material
Some content is never allowed on Unbound, on any account. You may not upload, store, or share:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any content that sexually exploits or endangers a minor.
- Intimate images shared without the consent of the person depicted.
- Content that is otherwise illegal, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
We have zero tolerance for CSAM.We use automated detection, and when we become aware of such material we remove it, terminate the account, preserve the required records, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as the law requires. We remove non-consensual intimate imagery promptly on notice.
To report content that violates these terms or the law, email abuse@unboundalbums.com. We may suspend or terminate any account that violates this section, and serious violations end an account immediately.
Storage, traffic, and plans
Plans are priced on storage, and two commitments are built in:
- Traffic is unlimited. We never charge you, or your visitors, for views or downloads. Share a gallery as widely as you like.
- Storage is finite and honest. We will never advertise “unlimited storage.” Each plan has a clear limit, and going over it is handled the way described below — not with a surprise bill.
Prices shown during this early period are launch prices and will rise as the service grows. If you subscribe to a paid plan now, your price is locked: it will not go up for as long as your subscription on that plan stays active. A price increase only ever applies to new subscriptions. If you cancel and later return, or move to a different plan, the price then current applies. Should we ever need to change the price of an active plan for any other reason, we will tell you well in advance and give you a real choice.
We never silently delete your galleries
This is a promise, and we state it as a term you can hold us to: we will never quietly delete your work or let it vanish over a missed payment. If a paid plan lapses, or a free gallery goes over its storage limit, we freeze new uploads and warn you — repeatedly, with a clear chance to put it right. Nothing is removed without ample notice.
We keep your data for a sensible, finite time rather than forever. If you delete a gallery or close your account, we hold it in a recoverable state for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently delete it. If a lapsed account is never resolved despite our warnings, its galleries may be archived or removed after at least 90 days. Either way, you will have had clear notice and a window to act first — your photographs are never lost to a surprise.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Unbound running and fast, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or retire features as the product grows. If we plan to discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your photographs first.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, Unbound is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Keeping your own copies of irreplaceable photographs is always wise — we are a home for your work, not a substitute for a backup.
Canceling
You can stop using Unbound and delete your account at any time. Email hello@unboundalbums.com and we will remove your account and its data promptly, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Copyright and takedown requests
Unbound hosts photographs uploaded by its users, and we respect copyright. If you believe material on Unbound infringes a copyright you own, send a notice to our designated agent at dmca@unboundalbums.com. A complete notice includes: your contact details; identification of the copyrighted work; the link to the material you want removed; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf; and your physical or electronic signature.
We respond to complete notices promptly — removing or disabling the material where appropriate and letting the account holder know, who may reply with a counter-notice. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Our designated agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (Registration DMCA-1076965):
